Pastor Tim Taylor
Congregational Care Pastor
Pastor Tim Taylor serves as Oak Grove’s Congregational Care Pastor, where his passion is caring for people and helping our church family experience the love of Christ through compassionate ministry.
Originally from Spartanburg County, South Carolina, Tim is the fifth of five children. During his first year at Southern Wesleyan University, he felt God’s call into ministry. He is an ordained minister in The Wesleyan Church and has faithfully served Wesleyan and United Methodist congregations for more than 30 years. Tim and his wife, Lisa, have lived in Gaston County for nearly 20 years.
As Congregational Care Pastor, Tim provides pastoral care to our congregation through hospital and home visits, visits with our shut-ins, prayer, encouragement, and support during life’s joys and challenges. He also participates in missions, outreach opportunities, and special events, preaches during worship throughout the year, and shares his experience and heart for ministry as we continue to grow together in faith and share the Gospel with our community.
If you or a loved one would like a visit, prayer, or pastoral support, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
